Although Sugar Daddy's heroine, Liberty, was a more likeable character than Haven, Blue-Eyed Devil had plenty of Hardy Cates, the gorgeous, mischevious Texan I fell for in Sugar Daddy. I loved this book a little more than the last one for the following reasons: Hardy Cates, was just absolutely delicious and delivered more lines than I can count that will make you melt; the sex scenes were hotter and more plentiful than Sugar Daddy; the tramautic beginning involving spousal abuse from a narcassistic lunatic, was well-written and powerful bringing me to tears; and finally, the h/h spent more time together (less alone "personal development time" and more romance!). Loving Hardy, I knew Lisa Kleypas could top Sugar Daddy with Blue-Eyed Devil. This was good enough to compel me to immediately begin Book 3, Smooth Talking Stranger. I hope Lisa Kleypas can do it again!
